From the Founder

Jenna Atchison, Founder & CEO
I've spent years in the luxury home and design space, a decade of that as editor of LA Home magazine. I've walked hundreds of workshops, profiled the makers behind the most extraordinary furniture and objects in the country, and watched what happens when a client finds the right artisan. It's magic. A single conversation becomes a $20,000 dining table that anchors a family for generations.
But I also watched what happens when those makers can't be found. The discovery problem in custom furniture is brutal. Talented artisans are invisible online. Clients with six-figure budgets resort to mass-produced alternatives or give up entirely. The infrastructure connecting them simply doesn't exist.
Then AI changed everything — not by replacing craft, but by making it possible to finally bridge that gap. Faber uses AI to do what I spent a career doing by hand: understand what a client envisions, translate that into a designable brief, and match it to the right maker. We're building natively on Google's AI stack — Gemini, Vertex AI, ARCore — as a Google for Startups company, because the technology to power intelligent design commerce finally exists.
Our thesis is simple: In a world where AI can generate anything, human hands become the most important thing of all. AI doesn't diminish craft — it elevates it. Faber is the platform that makes that elevation possible at scale.
We lost our first maker and friend, Scott Scherer, in March 2026. Scott was a master craftsman and the person who proved this model works — a client, an advisor, and a believer from day one. His legacy runs through everything we build. Faber exists because people like Scott exist, and because the world needs more ways to find them.
We're inviting a small group of investors who understand that the future of AI isn't just about what it can generate — it's about what it can elevate.
